LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (INTRAOCULAR PROCEDURES)

Your tasks at a glance
- You are the person who works closely with the ophthalmologist; you anticipate their actions while following protocols.
- You reassure patients before and after their procedure and ensure they feel at ease showing empathy.
- You like working in a team and know by heart the actions to take to coordinate each intervention.
- You will become a specialist of the tools and technologies used during intraocular procedures.
- You are comfortable working on your feet in the operating room.
- You are a stickler for details and work with precision and accuracy.
- You are a Licensed Practical Nurse registered with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN).
- You have a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Your experience in the field of ophthalmology and/or optometry is considered an asset.
- Your work experience in intensive care and/or an operating room is considered an asset.
- You thrive in a dynamic environment and when working in a team.
- You are meticulous, precise, rigorous, patient and focused, no detail can escape you.
- You have excellent communication skills, you speak English et français également (advanced intermediate level of French required due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with our French-speaking patients).
- Schedule: You are available to work Monday to Friday from 6:30 am until the end of the surgery schedule.
